ROYAL ASCOT DAY ONE a HUMBLE DAY?
2 years 11 months ago - 2 years 11 months ago
Good morning from a rather nippy but dry Pretoria.
We do have numerous information on Royal Ascot on other threads but this meeting warrants a separate post for a spectacular 5 day event.
There is some good and some great horses running this week and a few ATCs will be the way to go to show a profit .
The meeting starts off with the best horse in the world BAAEED and the odds have gone but it will be a wonderful start to watch the champ in action.
BLACKBEARD is taken to beat Persian Force in the second but a very competitive event.
The big sprint where the Aussie champ takes on the flying machine from the States.
The money has come for Nature Strip 22/10 but I am sticking with GOLDEN PAL 33/10 to come out on top.
Race 4 where we have another banker in the form of the 2000 gns winner COROEBUS 7/10 .
The 5th is another very competitive event and take as many as you can afford for exotics.
The sixth is even more difficult and a big result can be expected.
To end the day we have the Chester Cup winner brilliantly ridden by Ryan Moore.
I am not saying CLEVELAND is a good thing but certainly a PA banker at 22/10.
A quick mention that if you are taking a few ATCs you can add BAY BRIDGE from day two.
It has to beat the Japanese trained Shahryar but it's last win was spectacular and 14/10 is decent.
There is a World tote pool, not actually sure what that means but let's try a PA and Jackpot.

I will end with some Humble news .
Before we watch Ascot, Humble Tune is making another race track appearance and sorry it's been a bad year for the followers and trust me, it's been worse for the owners and we are close to cutting our losses if he shows no more improvement.
Saying that I will again have an ew at 16/1 because if we look at the fav Secret is Ours at 33/10 it beat Humble by 3.5L however we had a terrible draw and we have a couple of Kilos in hand.
Aware our jock has jumped ship but I will take a garage pie and coke that Kabelo is on the better one ☺
Good Punting and have a wonderful week.

World Tote Pools are commingled pools hosted by the Hong Kong Jockey Club. Expect the pools to be massive as most of the races have large fields. Win, Place, Swinger and Quinella.
They have been talks of Trifecta, Jackpot, etc also to be commingled at some stage.
