Re:Re:Aintree 3 day "the weight"

Good morning all as it starts to get a bit nippy in the mornings but still equivalent to a mini heat wave in Scotland.

We have some exciting racing over the next 3 days from Aintree, leading up to the Grand National on Saturday.

We have a couple of exciting races today and the exotics should be worth catching.

Race 1 where Stage Star and Bainbridge should fight out the finish but Mullins has Saint Roi to add to the equation.

Race 2 where again Mullins should be in the winners box with ZENTA

Race 3 Is a great race but disappointing that Bravesmansgame has been scratched.
I am still strong on the star SHISHKIN to beat A Plus Tard and Ahoy Senor.

Race 4 has the unbeaten CONSTITUTION HILL probably having his last run over hurdles and could become another great chaser over the jumps and is predicted to carry some massive "weights".
The horse today could pay 90 cents for a R1.00 win but might pay R1.20 a place? because remember the tote is only a machine 😉

Race 5 is rather open and take as many runners as you can afford but Winged Leader should be there at the finish

Race 6 is another difficult call and Douglas Talking goes for a hatrick, Third time Lucky should be right there and Rachael is always worth including with Dancing on my Own.

Race 7 is a bumper where you also need a few runners but the Mullins runner Jolie Coeur Allen probably best.
Seeyouinmydreams and July Flower must also be included.

Also good racing on the local front and a big day at the big T on Saturday where unfortunately Princess Calla scratched and Desert Miracle is a difficult ride.

I am still on Delta Work for the National on Saturday and 10/1 a good ew .

One of my fav bands was the BAND with front man Robbie Robertson and a remix of the classic " the weight" is my song today.
A thought for these brave jumpers carrying big weights.

Good Punting today and more to follow as the power goes off and not to mention the weight on the prison service for the Bester saga, you could not write a movie script for this fiasco.
"Heads will roll " "brought to book" let's see?
With SA track record, Bester could end up being a minister.

With the coldish weather still around I can’t wait to see what the dress attire for ladies day will be tomorrow. My guess is short skirts and very little on the top half The tabloids usually have a double page spread of pics

Another great ride from Rachel on Dancing on my Own

Not convinced Constitution Hill had all that much left at the finish (didn't increase his lead when shaken up on the run in). His jumping was outstanding, though.

Animal Rising has said its planned protest at Aintree on Grand National day is “the first of a campaign of events over the summer”.
