I'll end my contribution by saying two things...
Firstly, during the 2016 election cycle, a leftist journalist came close to understanding where the problem lies...journalists and leftists take Trump literally but not seriously whilst his supporters take him seriously but not literally...
This quote says so much:

He talks big because he's a salesman / dealmaker first and being a politician is not something he aspired to...so there's a lot of bluster and bravado and exaggeration but I can see past that to what he is trying to accomplish...to negotiate from a position of supposed strength to get most of the outcomes be thinks will benefit the US, prevent / end wars and leave a positive legacy after he's gone...
He lives a life better than 99% of the people on earth and didn't have to go the route of politics...listen to him on Oprah in the 1980's and to his two campaigns...he's stayed consistent in what ails the US and the world...not the politicians the blow with the wind to secure their next grift...getting into politics only created problems for him...you called him a crook yet when he was a Democrat and friends with the Clintons and other Democrat politicians were getting donations from him, they didn't think him to be so...only when he ran as a Republican and defeated their darling queen, Killary, did they turn the authorities or him...his biggest critics (Hillary, McCain, Romney) have been those that failed to get into the White House...smacks of jealousy...as some-one one asked: "Why him, not me?" Maybe they are wondering "How him, not me?" because they oversell their supposed virtue...
The majority of people voted for what he is trying to do and polls show that the majority are happy with his actions so far as they have largely matched his political speak during campaigning...must be a shock that a politician is actually walking the talk...if they don't like it, the Republicans will lose in the midterms and that will be end of Trump politically as he will be a lame duck for the last two years...
Secondly, pay close attention to what Trump says and what the actual actions are...his talk is about getting people on the back foot and to gauge reaction and the eventual actions are often a watered down compromise that benefits the majority...you cannot please all the people all of the time but if you can get the majority of the people agreeing with what you are doing most of the time, you are doing good...
I wish you well, especially with your health...I bear no ill will to anyone...and with United in the doldrums, I hope Arsenal win something for you even though they ar etrying very hard not to!!...with Liverpool dropping points it could get close if any of the teams chasing them put together a 8-10 game winning run...
