You guys talk about players been selected because of the colour of the skin. So why is there only 1 white bloke in the football team. Your argument is flawed for if they have so called quota selections in the cricket then surely they should in the football. So by definition there should be 3 white players in the Bafana team. Think about it.

neigh wrote: Almost a third of India's total from Parnell. Now kak is kak, talent cant be forced on you even if your surname is correct. How many chances does he still need to prove how kak he is ? CnC remember our conversation a month ago about talent being ignored over being politically correct ? Wiese has been bought to play in the IPL for big money, Parnell and Moegespeel on what list were they ? Only in our world squad team ! The rest of the world recognize talent not our selectors. I foresee the label is going to stick again Chokers ! This time thanks to our selectors.

So not all cricketers are equal (talent wise) wish craig would accept that applies to horseracing trainers as well.... :P

Quoto is der to make sure previously disadvantaged ppl have a chance to be in da team, sport, etc..not to mk sure white ppl are represented..its rather sad imo...people should be chosen by talent regardless of color..but then again even india have issues with selecfion due to discrimination n dy all indian :woohoo:

S, on the world stage that should be the case. Talent and inform players should be your first choice regardless of anything else.

Parnell's biggest problem is a lack of domestic cricket in the last two years. Confidence shot to pieces and very hard to get it back at international level, especially in the role that he's meant to play.

I think his CSA contract expires after the WC, will be very surprised - and probably critical because that's my job - if he's given a new deal.

England too have a selection policy. There must be at least 4 foreigners in the team because if not they won't win any matches.

Du Plessis looking like he wants to spend the evening out of the change rooms. He could be the key if he hangs around for the next 30 overs. Amla looks good

Run rate required is 7,2 with 36 overs to go...India's spinners are better than SA's and will turn the screws in the middle overs...we will be needing 9 plus with 15 overs to go...may be OK if these two are still there but if we 4/5 down, too much for lower order to do... :(
