Wicket slow and holding so expect Afridi to among the wickets...going to be a dog-fight...if Zimbabwe not more than 2 wickets down at 100, in with a great chance of winning...Chigumbura injured quad so one batsmen short already...

England couldn't defend 310 today against Sri Lanka...and Sri Lanka were about evens to win the match...got double of Sri Lanka and Pakistan so vested interest in Pakistan match...

With regards Australia and New Zealand match yesterday, they were both guilty of over-confidence...going to be interesting what the knock-out match-ups are as Australia have lost a match and have a no result from the match against Bangladesh that they would have expected full points from...Sri Lanka and Australia match on 8 March is now key...

England are useless,to many passengers..
As it seems that you can play for a country that you shouldn't be in my opinion,I did a little digging regarding my family tree and history.
My grandfathers, sisters cousin Harold was an extra in the film Zulu,so from today I'm supporting South Africa.

such a pity that the crowds in Australia are extremely poor when the so called smaller teams are in action. I hope that they are not charging the same to get in as they would for a match between 2 of the big nations. I can well understand it if they let the fans in for free when England play, well try to play, as most times the match is over before the lights come on :)

I doubled up in running (Pakistan were 95/100) when Misbah got out so if Pakistan win, I'll be done for the day...can avoid the rather tricky racing today...

Off to get kicked about in a game of football... :)

I saw on all the major cricket websites that the pitches at the world cup wouldn't suit India, well so far they playing very well and looking like defending champions

Australia have had a more than normal hot summer so the wickets are not as quick as they normally are.

I can't get much feel for the outcome of this world cup yet (the minnow matches seem to block the view somehow) but why are Sri Lanka such a big price ...............there certainly appear to be no "great" teams at the moment so trying to understand why they are 19/1 to win ............they can beat anybody on their day and they are reasonably consistent???

Ireland like to chase so if SA win the toss, it will be only time I will be hoping SA put the opposition in to bat...Irish bowlers will not be able to defend any score...

As for World Cup, non test playing nations against test nations have largely been one-sided...expected one "upset" and that has already happened when Ireland beat West Indies...normal service for rest of tournament...

Game of the World Cup so far has been Afghanistan beating Scotland...82-2 to 97-7 chasing 210 and still got there with the last wicket getting +-20...and at one stage the run-rate got to more than run a ball with only two wickets left...great great effort...
Australia and New Zealand was a consequence of over-confidence by both teams resulting in them making the game close when New Zealand should have doddled it...

Can't wait for the knock-outs...in a strange way, the no result between Australia and Bangladesh could have a significant bearing on this tournament as it alters where each team was expected to finish and hence the knock-out match-ups...
