Kenilworth: What A Winter obviously the form pick although untried on soft ground. Run For It and Fragrant Al also look the part, while the curiously-named M'Lords Throat can improve in leaps and bounds going over more ground now.
Turffontein: Looks tough, but I'd make Checcetti the banker with Gracie Jones her biggest threat. Harbor Street, Master Blaser are next best, with Strike A Million in the first and inner track specialist Forest Of Dreams in the last possibly offering a bit of value.
And seeing as I'm a roll I might as well stick you guys out completely
and add Mauritius: I'll Be Back was very stiff last time and looks hard to beat. A wee e/w on Tuff Stuff in the opener can't kill anybody, either.

Some thoughts on the Turffies meeting:
R3: Harbour Street; distance not a problem according to trainer, so probably the right one; not much between Knight's Inlet and Pokerface on their last run, but one can get better odds about Pokerface
R4: Absolute 2 horse race, and on strict form A Star Is Born should be the right one; I'm including both in the P6 to be sure, but either one should be safe as a banker in the PA
R5: Small field, but a trickey race imo in which the outcome is probably going to depend on the pace; if Master Blaster and Winking Jack cut each other's throats ealry on, it could leave the way open for either Lion's Blood or Valley of Rubies to take advantage, while Kingdom Come has come down from a 101 to a 90, so could also be there; probably wisest to include all of those in the P6 (luckily Kingdom Come is coupled with Master Blaster) and take your pick in the PA
R6: Interesting to see if Checcetti is as good as rated; in the week Igugu was rated way too low on 80, but Checcetti has been given a 92, which is going to give some of the other fillies some hope; I would have preferred Gracie Jones on the handicap, but she has it all to do from the draw - I'm including the roughie Hot Tip who is receiving loads of weight from the top two, in everything
R7: A tricky handicap - money for Art Wish, who could be anything; Ahoy Captain is improving and seems well in here from the plum draw, and the Brian Widd coupling also needs to be included as well imo - go wide
R8: Another competitive race; I could be wrong, but I think Crackerjack needs a gallopping track, so I'm going wide again - my first choice is Money Flows who likes this course and is weighted to easliy beat Dreamy Times, and there does not seem to be much between Dreamy Times and runners like Power Lord, Nudge Nudge and Clamenco.
R9: I think this lies between Lago Lida and First Up
Play well.

I could only listen to the race but that What a Winter sounded pretty impressive??? He was a few lengths back with 2 furlongs to travel and at the furlong marker he was 4 lengths clear?
Bright future this boy!
