A challenging card at Turffontein this evening, not made any easier by the scratching of The Best Overall in race 9.

Thoughts:

R2: Captive Action all the rage - but he was beaten by the moderate (to say the least) Obvious Intentions last time - so the value may be with the first timers - I have a very small interest in Star Rating, which according to the trainer is 'a very nice horse and should finish in the money' - so I'm holding thumbs
R3: This should rest between Sunny Disposition and Who's Fooling Who, who has the benefit of an appie allowance - should not be much between them imo
R4: Living the Dream is a winner (taken away in the boardroom), so must have obvious claims from a good draw; Justthewayyouare should improve this trip - place
chances imo to Caesour's Spirit, Kakhulu, Micro Jet, Hi Ho Silver and Red Delicious
R5: Fillies and mares 68 handicap - and an especially tough one imo; Divine Right no value at 2/1 imo - go as wide as the budget allows
R6: Duncton Quest seems well in here, but the stable has been a bit quiet, so the safer options for PA's could be the course and distance specialist Salutation and Elusive Model - Gracie Jones has some stamina doubts imo
R7: Another fillies and mares 68 - African Love has not been penalised for a runaway (could easily have been more than 10 lenghts if ridden out) maiden win- so could follow up - I think Hot Tip is going to be right there over this trip and other outsiders to consider for the placings include Dover Crossing, Sea Passage, Lorne Cottage and Behind the Lines
R8: Anything possible here; consider the fieldl in the P6 if the budget allows.

In the 3rd I wouldn't leave out Nomad, Ferraris stable bang inform.
