You gotta be kidding... in the one day game Boucher is worth 2 Van Wyk's.... Van Wyk bats like he is in a 7 day match. He cost us the game against England (imo) ...

You will be pleasently surprised with van Wyk I think howeever he must open the batting he gets on with it early on he score quickly against the seamers the problem is if we must pick the side out of the squad on merit there is no way that Smith can make the side Botha is there to captain the side open with van Wyk and play another batter imo van Wyk give u a lot of options like du Plessis who I predict will play for a long time and with maturity will contribute in the middle order

I agree umlilo we are there to win therefore we must pick the best side out of the squad to do the job and Smith on current form is not contributing and putting pressure on the middle order which cause a lot of people calling them chokers while it is purely pressure as in any sport imo he cannot make the starting line up on merit

100% - never liked the guy. Maybe I am biased but it goes back to the days when he was instrumental in the treatment given to Lance and the Duckwoth/ Lewis debacle with Shawn.

I think that Smith said that he was giving been the captain of the 50 over side after the World Cup. He is a very good Test batsman and captain. He lacks imagination when it comes to the one day game especially in the field.

Can not be worse than Dhoni. What possessed him to give that final over to that idiot Nehra. Anyway no complaints SA won.

I still believe that the winners will come from the sub continent. India dont, at this stage, seem to be able to finish off teams. They should have beaten England and yesterday they should have scored 400 after the start that they had. Credit must go to Steyn with that fantastic spell of bowling.

Correct - Tracys Element. As Dhoni put it, the batters were playing for the crowd. The final 2 overs should have been as follows if I was captain.
