Delpech has some plum rides in PE tomorrow. Might see him narrow the gap.

I am not sure about that would say Marcus has the best mounts today and the last show I seen was 1/10 Marcus, so looks over.

marcus certainly deserves his nickname of superman...his efforts in winning the title in the last few months have been nothing short of superhuman and he fully deserves it..he is a true professional sportsman in every sense of the word and the punters i know at my local tab love him because he rides every horse with huge determination and tries to achieve the best placing for it..

Marcus has also had bronchitis for the last couple of weeks.............I am sure all the jocks will be trying to catch it......lol

After today Marcus deserves to be champoin! I supported Delpech but he was very average today - in fact rode some shocking races! Trainer says he was not there mentally!

u know..i thought about it last night(thursday night)..about what frame of mind delpech would be after thursday's meeting....and to think how deflated he would be,'cos i know how much effort he put into it,and how he might not be in a strong frame of mind.....and funny enough Homer says that the trainer of his rides says exactly so.......i think any normal person would be feeling the same as delpech feels at the moment.....i think the defining meeting of the championship was the 2 kimberley meetings..and i think this was were he will look back and regret putting in that extra,extra effort...but all the same.......it was a wonderful month of titanic struggles...and hats off to "both "champions....it was a moment in south african racing history to savour.......i caught a few pa's just putting in these 2 jocks.....no matter what price they were...'cos they were really trying on everything....enjoyed it most......and to u both again....WELL DONE FOR THE SHOW"

Delpech is also hurting cos people he thought were his friends got of winning mounts to give marcus the rides,and trainers snubbed him for marcus,

Another two in the bag for Marcus today. He is now turning this into a procession. I guess the question now on everyone's lips is, by how many will Marcus win by? I really feel for Delpech who's spirits must be very very low. I just hope this does not affect him come Sunday for the Gold Cup. The championship looks wrapped up for sure , but there is still two meetings left and we will keep this thread running until it's over. The lead is now nine.

Nevertheless great show by two great riders. I just think the pressure and travelling caught up. Super month as far as the Championship went, but seems over now.
