What do the NHA regulate?

Some time ago we analysed a few of the unused NHA rules including the one relating to inconsistent running. At the time Vee Moodly confirmed that the rule, allowing suspension of "in and out" horses had never been implemented!
Last week in PE we had 2 horses ,from the same stable ,both of whom improved over 10 lengths in 3 and 4 days respectively.
This week ,3 horses performed below expectation, but following the pattern of last year all 3 bounced back to form 2 days later and won.(one of which turned around 32 lengths)
I wonder if the NHA might consider such turnarounds as "inconsistent" and take some kind of action.
If they need some help in measuring the extent,I have a record of the ratings of the runs.Their own handicappers will have the same info!
I believe that these ,together with many other "form" issues highlighted by exotic results over the last few weeks, mean that it is in the interest of the sport that the regulators are seen to be monitoring its own rules.
Failure to do so should be construed as "bringing horseracing into disrepute"!

Hi Rob

On another thread Hibs has asked to compile the info and he will forward it to those "responsible".

I would point out that I predicted 4 out of 5 turnarounds ,and posted so on the forums,so am talking from the pocket,AND in spite of it.
If the authorities need it pointed out to them, racing is in dire straits.

While on the subject of the NHA, I recently read a survey on the industry compiled for Racing SA in 2009 (can be found on their site.) According to the survey
the NHA employ 82 people(on a permanent basis)and 124 people part time across the country. Where are they, and what do they do???I got the impression that we do not have the manpower to monitor barrier trials etc. which would certainly be an aid with regard to inconcistancy, however should the survey be correct then, with that amount of head count surely we should be seeing far better monitoring of our racing.

Anyone have a look at the headlines on TABLONLINE... MILLER’S VISION CONTINUES TO SHIMMER AT FLAMINGO PARK

What a joke this Jack Milner is, if he was half a journalist he would of QUESTIONS
those wins (As per Robs remarks on the thread yesterday) and how a horse can improve so dramatically in 48 hours??

It's the 'establishment's version of 'marketing the game' (td)
