if it was the durban july would the meeting have gone ahead?undoubtedly yes...bunch of clowns they call sundays meeting off a full day before then on tuesday they call it off when the horses are in the ring for the 1st and for tonite they call off at 8.30am..we have hardly had any rain in the last 24hrs ffs

just had a call from an owner who is starting to believe that gold circle are not racing because they havent got the funds to pay stakes....whats happened in the last week im beginning to believe it as well

Disappointing to loose the meeting but if they went ahead and then lost a horse or jocks were injured it would be a calamity...I believe that the pull up area is very bad and to err on the side of caution is actually a no brainer if the truth be told...Month end Friday night would have been massive in regards to tote turn over so I cant see how lack of funds would have anything at all to do with the decision...

I have been keeping in touch with somebody who lives a few hundred metres from the course.......got a SMS at 6 am today .........."overcast but still no rain!"
so this announcement astounds me.

yes titch goebels tell me how many horses have you seen break down in yielding going compared to firm going?if they cannot race in the current going at greyville straight after it has had its treatment then questions need to asked and the guilty need to be dealt with...i would prefer my horse to run on a wet track than a firm track ..

rob im 2km from the track and would have taken 1 to a million it would have gone ahead
