Not a day goes by I don't wonder how my life would have turned out had that accident not happened.........

@cliftonking, bad co, magic lips, e al....
Abie Fourie rode my first winner for me in Kimberley (Summer Ridge, trained by Fritz Roux).
Hemant Ramlugan; was never the same after breaking his leg in a fall apparently.
As about the first Indain appy, I remember when I had him to meet punters in KwaDuguza at a Trade Exhibition, he was really doing well and M Roberts was his mentor. He told punters to play a double with them; both came in!
Craig Magua was a gentleman.
What about trhe Bloem plane carnage....Cave, etc?
To you and all the others... we salute you!

The Borrowdale commentator mentioned that Dewi Williams was at the course on 29th Jan and that he would be returning to riding soon..(tu)

The list could go on for a long while...
Gavin Howes, Paul Vermaak, Ricky Kleinschmidt, Denecious Smith, Justin Henson and more ?
I know Peter Dillon died in a bike accident a few years back.
It's nice to know more about all our jocks ( current and past ). It puts more of a 'face' on racing...

The henneman disaster claimed alot of talent , and alot of established talent BUT there was 1 lightie on that plane that would have been better than MOST. His name was Warren Bailie, son of Ike. RIP boys, never forgotten
of course some of us remember that day as if it was only yesterday, for me personally i still grieve the death of my mate Craig Magua and the loss of ability to ride of my dear friend Rene' Bonham.

Can't recall what, but know something happened to Delano Pieterse as well. He was riding in PE most of the time. Was a good jock!
