Rob said to me the last race on the card is not the last race you will bet on . so if you having a bad day don't think you need to get out today .I'm still working on that one .

The problem i said to Rob ,is that tomorrows (Tuesday ) is settling !!!.

One of my worst is when i don't really fancy anything and end up punting race after race after race .

Greg gotta agree had i not seen my father punt i would not have got involved .

My dad was also a punter - so I suppose it's in the blood - not sure where he got it from though :S

The biggest mistake (from personal experience and from a few other posters) is to teach your child to punt - (i would rather shoot myself in the foot than let a child have a bet)

The biggest punting mistake I make is that when I go to the races I bet on every race..there is no fine for not betting on every race:o

I think that on line betting is great and if I have nothing in the kitty I have nothing to punt, having unlimited call bets and using post toasted to settle was a nightmare, so in a way punting today is better than the "old days"

Mmmmmmm. I got home the other night and saw a betting ticket on the dining room table. The ticket was 16/20 a Man Utd away win. I realised that this was a winning ticket as Man Utd did win mid week. I think my son was trying to show me he had a good winning bet. I felt angry, why is my son punting?

Horse racing punting require extensive knowledge and experience (fraught with dangers).
***Understanding “VALUE” (of Odds offered) is of paramount importance.
***There are NO short cuts in real life ! Zeljko Ranogajec is basically a maths. wizard ( NOT A PUNTER ).
***Gambling/betting is a disease of mind (chasing a mirage) !
