I've been doing this lately, I was curious to know if any one else on the forum does this.

I think he means . Just as bookmakers price up on a race . Do any of us do our own betting for the race free of influence from the bookies prices .

By doing our own independent betting we may discover some value when comparing the deseminated betting .

get it ?

No but if I have a strong fancy wait for betting and if I feel it's a decent price, I take a bet. To be fair not many early gifts.

The SAF early betting and claim system although liked by many is imo useless.Very hard to get decent money on a horse without the price collapsing..

I'm continuously hearing how horses have shortened in the UK 'betting shops' on raceday morning. So how does one get a decent bet on over there without the odds falling?

Prices shorten, but they don`t half after one full claim.Remember the Barney curly coup last year? he won R40m could have been 5 times more if everything fell into place..

I was waiting to back a horse in a 2yo race a few weeks back in SAF one half claim at 7/2 re-opened at 11/10

2cents , imo the only way to get a decent bet on takes a lot of trouble . open accounts with as many as you can then hit the submit button simultaneously .

i mean it's a joke in this country . i take 5k of a 16/1 shot and there and then the horse shortens to 12/1 .
5 fcuking K .

The claims are ridiculous ! 25k and 50k per claim is a fcuking joke as well . The best solution is what Pirates suggested . Make the claims 200k and if necesary spread them over more bookmakers .

Then i wanna see mr joe bookie claim something he has an opinion on and feels is to big in the betting market .

yes that is a good think, 20 thousand to claim is less than when we were in 1984. there is to many big bookies with no balls. bettingworld, worldofsport, hollywood, the chinaman they all bet to much small on a claim
