I can not see anything else in that race.

@Greg no need to apoligise my friend i was wrong.
I found abit of great value in the fourth i really have that strong feeling that Tutenkamer is a big runner and this is the chance for it to get in the winners box take an ew for safety but i really would like to see it winning..
In the fifth Shuffles looks like top class against that sort and Richard Fourie gets the ride.
In the lucky last Tastefull should get it right this time and i wont ew it i will go for the win and @5/1 from the 12/1 last time out i think the bookies agree with me aswell so thats my best bet number 2 on the card.
My best bet and i cant see mr Minnie getting beaten on In The Frame.This must be a great sign because i was putting a new picture of me and the mrs In The Frame at our house and that picture looks great.
Gudluck guys have a great one and break a leg and dont break that ice cold @heinekan beer because its too hot to break the beer rather break the leg.
Whoop whoop

I am quite proud of having named a potential champion, in Slumdogmillionaire. I criticised a couple of the names that Gavin Schafer had given his horses (during the course of a Tellytrack shift, and he called me and suggested that if I thought it was so easy I should give naming horses a try (I hate names incorporating "Prince", "Lady", "Lass" or "Lad" - very unoriginal, though Princess Victoria has shot all that out of the water!). Gavin gave me the breeding of two of his weanlings and I suggested Slumdogmillionaire (Strike Smartly - Make a Million) and Pylon (Fort Wood - Golden Cell). The latter's grandam is Beltel, hence the loose telegraph pole connotation, though pylons are more to do with electrical current, I think. Pylon was supposed to have his second start last Thursday, for Mike Azzie, but that was the day the Vaal meeting was washed out, and hopefully he won't let the side down in the longer term, but I am as thrilled by Slumdog's success as if I owned a slice of the horse.

I think the highest merit rated horse that I could find in todays vaal card is off a 74. But it could not place in the top three in it's last six starts. Hardly a crowd pulling card and a good advertisement for SA racing in my opinion. This makes a PE card look like "July" day.

Most of today's runners have raced off higher marks than they are on today........................this is the kind of crappy racing you get when you allow careers to be extended on the basis of subsidising the old,the sick,the lame or the lazy.
This utilises stakes,albeit half,on horses on their way out, instead of providing for new younger horses,on the upgrade,and with careers ahead of them
Most industries or sports attempt to "raise the bar" ....why is racing going the other way?
It's what you get when you allow "ability" ratings to reduce..................allowing the failing to hinder the improving.

You don't think Magic Circle can get closer to Life's Ocean with a 12.5kg swing now on there run to Rosey's Song?

Is there anywhere in the world that has a really good merit rating system that we could learn from?

PA = 3/4/3/7/1/8/7
Jckpot = 3,4,8,10/1,7,6/1,7,10/2,3,6,8 = R144 or 7.20 for 5%
