Ironically, a blackout may be a small price to pay for the ultimate prize.
Betfair, for me, is small and fun only, and not part of my real play, purely because I don't wish to gamble my foreign currency!
If,however, this leads to a local licence and a Rand wallet, that would change things dramatically, of course.
I will just play it whichever way it ends up.....I won't need any medication.lol
I just hope that some form of finality will be reached on exchanges as I have a plan B which would be a more lucrative business plan, and involves obtaining a licence, but the future of exchanges needs to be more certain.

Got an email this morning basically saying that why would you believe what you read on a website that no one has heard of lol
And that its not true
Dear Bob,
Thank you for your e-mail.
The Helpdesk is not aware of any such change in conditions, and certainly this subject would be well communicated in the media, and not just appearing on, if one can say, a little known forum.
A search of the Web, does not highlight any other sites detailing similar headline.
Kind regards,
Robert Denby

Hibs,
Rumour spreading happens everyday, but the source of this information is very much further up the pecking order than the helpdesk @ BF.
From what I have been able to confirm I would be extremely surprised if it not true that BF is going to be closed to Saffers from the end of the month.

JAP not wanting to belabor the point but im pretty sure that the guys at the help desk would check with the pertinent authorities before responding to an inquiry added to this I recieved another email this morning very much along the same lines as Hibs posted and given that my son in law has only last week opened his betfair account it seems very unlikely that betfair has 2 weeks left in SA...time will tell

So if betfair is closed to saffers soon, I will just have to revert to backing every horse in the race except the one I want to lay, right?

u can back them with me peanut as our percentages per race are 130 to 140 percent unlike the 101 to 103 on betfair...
