Thandolwami just left for Jhb 20 mins ago but has had to go from Summerveld to Clairwood to pick up Storm Vanidiso instead of being picked up on the way past. He will spend an extra 2 hrs on the float then needed to but my fellow trainer would not give me the 15 mins time it would have taken to pick him up then.If the 15 mins was going to get him beaten then he was not going to win anyway!Best course and distance by a long way so lets hold thumbs for him. He is well so dont leave him out of anything in spite of my fellow trainer.

Going against the grain again - I acknowledge what LG is saying about Variometer (and not a word about Waywest Goddess?) but for me I think Second Tycoon needed his last run and will be hard to beat - and I still think Waywest Goddess is value at current odds
Thandolwami not to be ignored in an open handicap imo

frodo, WW Goddess is very special to us and you are correct, given her c&d formline. But, we are really working hard, now, on her legs. This always means that she could be short of a gallop. We will do our best.
Variometer - working very well, but the following refer -
This is not ''the perfect race for her''as suggested elsewhere. That race would be the fillies Conditions race on 25th, same c&d, but that's too close to the Bauhinia, on 13th.
Second Tycoon - besides my special interest, as I Trained his mother, this horse was very heavy and definitely needed his last. Also, he was nominated for the Tommy Hotspur. I dont think he is up here just to win a race or two...
Lately, the Handicapping system has had a fair share of egg in its face, especially in Sprint races, where the drag effect is at its lowest. There appears to be a void being created and the list of horses not yet caught by the handicapper seems too big... This is why lightweights are real lurkers. Silent Approach springs to mind, in this race.
So, our filly is very well and we really hope she wins. But it's NOT a foregone conclusion, as if anything in Racing ever was...

Good luck Louis and Craig with your runners tonight. (tu)
I make Race 5 a real match race between Variometer and Second Tycoon. When you consider Second Tycoon dead heated with Unannounced at level weights and Unannounced ran off a 106 on Sunday he must surely be a big runner. With the weight turnaround and being a fitter horse should Second Tycoon should easily reverse the form with Carlito Brigante.
Looking forward to some excellent racing tonight. (tu)
