ps you can get unlimited internet in the UK for about r60 per month,time the SAF government started to get internt out to the majority...

The can't even get basic services right Hibs, how the fark are they gonna get the internet out to the majority...

I pay plenty for internet and for two days now I can't get Facebook ... my passport was delivered to the wrong post office and when I didn't collect it it was returned to sender ... whenever I drive home I weave around like a mad drunk avoiding a multitude of lethal potholes ... in winter you have to watch out on the roads for gaunt starving cows "straying" into suburbia to get food ... and the minibus taxis have a licence to kill. Outside of Gauteng, Cape Town and Durban this is the wild west, Hibs.

Government has to get out of the way so that those that know what they're doing can get things done.

this is my area of expertise, for sure the whole of africa will have internet before they have running water mark my words.

SA goverment and private enterprise (vodacom/mtn) to name but afew will HAVE to own/lease fibre between nodes and to their repeaters NO OTHER WAY. this meens that a fibre infrastructure will cover sa. once this is there then ftth starts becoming a dream that can happen.

if they DONT do this then those companies will falter.

this i because of 1 reason ONLY , mobile fones are now used more for data (facebook/google) than for voiceand data CHOWS bandwith that copper cannot support.

and the ONLY way to feed this monster is with fibre.

So if you gotta run a fibre from JHB to Capetown it will cost you about £900 per metre, but to run 144 fibres along the same route only costs you £1000 per metre. BUT for the whole route it goves you CAPACITY to branch out, once the branching starts to the nearest town it will spread like gospel

might be scary but my company intsalls about 80km of fibre a week in the UK. A job from JHB to Cape Town would only take about 6 months. The owner of that route will have an asset worth 50 imes his spend but he might have to sit tight for a few years.

Wasnt the fibre layed for the 2010 world cup?
