lol, love the straight forward talk Magic
I think you'll find Magic that it is because not enough people know how to study form. Of those that do, there are very few who know how to study it to make the best use of it. I would include myself in that. And form is only part of it, a good overall knowledge of tracks, conditions, stables etc is vital. Not many of us have that info stored away and it is of course one of the main reasons so many follow your picks so closely. But a "142" against a horse rather than a "656" is always going to appeal to the unknowing eye.
I think a lot of the "ignorance" has to do with time, I don't mind admitting that with two meetings yesterday it is a full day's work for me and more and I still don't have the confidence I would like in the selections I make.
And I totally agree with your comments regarding maidens, I find it incredible that maiden fields can be huge when some of them have run 20 plus times, surely a trainer would consider that any potential weight advantage in a handicap might just give them an edge where all else has failed... then again, maybe not

So, looking for a bit of e/w value in the first, if you had to exclude the top 4 in the market, who would you be backing to win... think I'd probably be on More Than Magic but would be very interested to hear of opinions...
GB... interested in your comment re track specialists, why is it you think it is especially relevant to Durbanville?

Durbanville only has a straight run in of 600m, there is no straight sprints. This is what makes Durbanville unique inmho
