Something to consider or not, perd always runs clock-wise and for the first time tries the other way around. I always rather watch them the first time out before deciding to take a punt at it

i would run my maiden in handicaps any day. I believe that the handicap srandard in maiden races might be too high . Thus once my horse obtained a mr it would race in handicaps . At least it would recieve a more accurate mr than in the maiden ranks . This is just my opinion as i have noticed countless runners fresh off maiden wins that carry top weight in lowly mr handicaps . The horse is not competitive and the trainer says ' the horse just won a maiden and is now difficult to win again so soon ' .Bollocks !!!
Why do horses coming off consistent maiden form and a maiden win suddenly loose form in handicaps ?
Either the trainer eases off training or the horses rating obtained in the maidens is false ????

At the prices, think I'll take a chance on Rock the Country liking the extra distance

Not saying it would have won but how / why did Hatt on Rock the Country manage to go from from poll position to challenge on the inside to switch diagonally across the field to finish down the middle?? Looked like a deliberate move by the jock, didn't look like there was no room. For me, a completely unfathomable move. Though I am sure there is a most logical explanation... :S
