She didn't appear to show the pace she showed when she won her previous race, but for the millionth time I can only say that without sectional timings we can only keep guessing. It's futile to simply compare the winning times of the race which PQ won with the one yesterday. The real key would lie in the comparative times for the first 400m of each event. When she won, she got to the front early and stayed there. It is possible that she was gifted the lead on a plate, but in the circumstances we will never know.

As an aside, the draw bias on the PE courses does exist, but it's hardly worse than some days at the Vaal or (dare I say it) Scottsville. The draw bias up the straight at Kenilworth can also bounce around from one side of the track to the other, so I don't think that it is fair to single out either Arlington or Fairview as being especially guilty of having an unfair bias.

i had huge double from pylon onto pirate queen.....(backed both at 18/10)....and on watching the pirate queen race...i had to double check if i was watching the same race as i had originally planned to race....but the truth of the matter is...pirate queen was beaten at the start...firstly when that bloody 50/1 shot takes about 5 min to load and then gets scratched....and that leads to it being slow away and also being shut out by horses on both sides...right then and there....u need not be a scientist to work out that your money has just been done....in fact i phoned 1 of the forumites...who also contibuted to this topic earlier...about 20 seconds before the off and told him that this filly has been standing in there for all this while,,surely it cant be in her favour...i will give wayne a little sympathy here...because once she never got to the front(which is her normal style)...she had no chance ..no matter who was on her.....and this is talking from my pocket...because i did 50 k on the race...and stood to win over 300 k...but to suggest she was pulled is utter utter bull shit...

so people have huge doubles (see above) into this horse. They dont lay (see above) and it drifts and is avaibalble over the odds...........i must be stupid.

What i find astouding is that everyone agrees it was not this horses true running. Yet i predicted that it would fail based purely on the betting pattern, yet i am the lunatic.

People are looking for goodness and focussing on the start debacle and not considering a highly overpriced runner that somehow ran way below expectations (not everyones)

I can sorta understand 13/10 ish about a 9/10 shot but 2.5 and greater up to 2.6 for LOTS and LOTS just did not stack up.

easy...what u must understand about betting patterns:

no.1...the horse opened at around 2/1.....now most of the ppl who play exchanges are actually traders....and they can even work on a 10% margin....thats huge for them....now what is so strange about the betting pattern here?..it opend around 18/10.....and now those very same ppl are laying 15/10...they are still making a profit...

now had the horse opened evens....and they are now laying 16/10....2/1...then yhis is unusual

the 2,5....2.6...on decimal system....is actuallty 15/10 and 16/10..........not 5/2 and 26/10....hope u r not confusing that
