Titch,Interesting comments from someone who can't read ............lol.

Al,if you believe my comments are a reaction to Garrick's comment then you have sadly misread the original post ..............the bait is the financials. I have raced with the same love of the game for over 40 years and it certainly hurts to see the corporate transformation utilise a strategy of asset stripping to slowly destroy it,and I have regarded that, and the management of "P" ,as a negative for as long as I have been on the site

I challenge you or Titch to write one paragraph pointing out the positives,to local racing, of the financials,as posted!

One of Churchill's more appropriate quote was "A pessimist sees the difficulty in every opportunity; an optimist sees the opportunity in every difficulty".

As an aside Al,that link article you posted, you will surely relate to,being part of the Insurance Industry...........Most of the Insurance Companies that have ,in recent times, appointed CEO's based on acedemic qualifications alone, have failed and been absorbed by take-overs.

you are missing my point Rob what I am saying that those who REALLY believe racing is all doom and gloom and going down the tubes should just walk away from it...

A realist would have nothing to do with anything that has as many flaws as you seem to believe the industry has...

Rob - I have no doubt on where you sit on these issues. I was merely agreeing with your and Greg's comments and I was adding a bit to take the conversation a bit further forward. Just because I used your and Greg's name in the next paragraph does not mean you are the fish. It was aimed at those that dont know the difference between a positive contribution and a negative comment!
