The KZN maiden stakes were highlighted by you in another thread but not a word was said about races where the stakes have almost doubled in KZN over the last 5 years...it is easy to pick and choose situations to suit your cause..highlighting the problems is all good and well but try give credit where credit is due ...

really bar a couple of feature races please tell me where stakes have increased by double in the last 5 years????im talking your every day type racemeeting which is about 90 percent of the racing year....

Why not mention the "Couple of Feature Races" highlighting flaws and ignoring progress is hardly being objective..

That is my gripe in a nutshell...........shareholder returns and the future of local horseracing are in conflict!'

Titch I admire your passion for local racing but please look at what MR H posted in red, surely you eventually cut the rot out before it infects the whole crop?? ... makes good business sense don't you think?

please titch there are many features which we raced for more 15 years ago ,,,oceanair derby was a million rand now the derby is 300k and at one stage a 120k less than the chapter challenge races...anyway there are around 1200 races a season in natal and not more than 50 are features...if you read the report PHUMELELA ARE THE ONES WHO ARE EXTREMELY WORRIED ABOUT LOCAL BETTING TURNOVER are they negative as well?

So would it be in the interest of racing to take away the international option and force the customer to play only local??
