Especially in the Met when she was in big trouble and had to angle to the outside to find running room

She is already worth millions of dollars more as a broodmare than pockets racing earnings

I dont want to here about Igugu as a brood mare.
The point of selective breeding to produce potential champions is to produce champions... why as soon as they become what they were bred for, their careers are handled with kid gloves or cut short so that they in turn can become breeders.
This thread is a tribute not a stud book
Who gives a flying horseshoe about what Igugu's offspring are potentially worth, this horse is going to be shipped half way around the globe and is going to bring back the Arc!

It is sad to see our champion Igugu leaving our shores. My question is that had the connections decided to stay behind, she would have cleaned up the 2 million race on the 28 th of April, plus this years July's handicap which is another 1.5 million race,if the stakes have not been increased. Now why would the connections throw away such a lucrative investment, and take this huge gamble,of quarantines, synthetic tracks, and all the rest that goes with it.It is surelly not about the money,so it must be the fame?Anyhow i wish them all the best, but if it was me,the champ would have stayed put.Bon Voyage you beauty.

ZORO, IMHO. I don't think the connections are in this for the money alone it is the prestige to win a big race overseas as I am sure that is the dream off every owner in this country, to own that one dream maker.
I am sure if you ask the connections of JJThe jet Plane it was not all about the money I think their experience, as they say in the add, was "priceless"
I don't know if you are a horse owner, if not get one and the day the horse goes past the winning post with your colors you don't think about the money, the thrill you experience is OVERWHELMING their is not much that beat it, their is one or two which i can not elaborate on THIS FORUM, but he adrenalin rush and feelings of joy man I tell you!!!!
