This is absolutely unbelievable.

117:1 is even a small price. i would have given 10 000:1 for a lensley-debutant in a group 2

I didn't want to post before the race as I didn't want to put the mockers on my own bet. I had a quad ending in War horse and when I found out this morning that they put blinkers on I knew I was done......

I have said this before and I'll say it again.......

Why, oh why, oh why do trainers put blinkers on horses who are WINNING??????????????

Good win by SFR. Good for the winners.................

Tommy you are 100% correct (blinkers)... and how many times do these horses disappoint when they do...

Anyway probably the last time we will see Soft Falling Rain in Zuid Afrika....?

Frodo, how time flies... we won this race 6 years ago with our CHEAPIE 50 G Asylum seeker......... pity is we raced for 350 G, six years later stake = 400 G = 15% increase in 6 years !

wish my training fees had gone up 15 % in 6 years.............. it sure is hard to make money out of owning horses today.

off to catch the last 7 at Turffies, see you for breakfast tomorrow.

Nice win by SFR. I was confident a long way out. When Anton has the head twisted to the side you can put the house on. I remember Jaypegs head twisted over the fence when he won overseas

My Pick 6

1,13 x 8 x 1 x 6,7,2,8 x 1,9 x 5,8

Yup Greg,I think the going at Turf. is "dead".........will favour horses that need further than advertised race distance IMO.
Welwitschia maybe but probably Control Freak to improve for me!

Tommy I hear u , bombed War Horse ... No blinkers reported in my Winning Form and must have been a late decision or something due to it's green ness last time. Saw the horse going to the start and boooom knew I was done aswell. Also the jockey change had my scratching my head. Agree totally with your sentiments with regard " re-inventing the wheel" so to speak. The horse was fine without them , reminds me of the knee jerk reactions of fellow trainer Mike Azzie.(td)
