I think that you would easily be able to monetise your website internationally. Think about it this way, in the UK they pay per view on football matches. In SA we get it as part of the DSTV package. We probably see more foortball than the poms! The point I am making is that your site would make money once it caught on.
The bulk of the operators income is from people they do not give a crap about (if the state of their outlets are anything to go by) so it makes sense those with a bit more in the bank (online players) are even less of a concern. Pretty short sighted. Each and every customer should be equally important.
With technology advancing the way it is, far more people will have access soon. Would it not be practicle to show a formgrids race on a screen or two in the tote rather than print and paste paper on the wall? I think the excuse to not use formgrids is weak. Perhaps old axes from 1986 are still being ground.
I was thinking about something that would be a nice feature on Formgrids and that is the owners colours similar in the way Interbet displays against the betting. In fact I was thinking that Interbet and Formgrids would be the most natural marriage. Could you imagine the Interbet page with a switch to formgrids mode where the betting form and all other info was in one place? It would work for me!

David your posts hear are very good but this one quoted here just shows that they have no idea to balance their target market ...this is the unsophisticated market were they can pull the wool over. the eyes but this is the market that would also invest their winning stake in the lotto

With the way the totes look and operate if that's how they concentrate on the R20 punters then they should be ashamed. If this is the market they need to survive then Racing will not last 10 years.

mistera phum gold dont give a damn about any punter if they did they would be supplying information via all types of modern day media and communication TO ALL PUNTERS ..the recent phumelela results show that the local punter has had enough ...phumgold use the open bet as the reason for the downfal in local turnover INSTEAD OF LOOKING INWARDS AT THEMSELVES and fiixing it themselves...let me give you a small example i have had a telebet account for decades and spent many thousands but have not used it for nearly 2 years..in any normal company you would expect a phone call BUT I HAVE RECIEVED NOTHING FROM TABGOLD...this sums their attitude up ...we dont care

Do u think a company like Hollywood treat a R20 punter differently to a R1000 punter?

As far as I am concerned and what I witnessed they treat all customers as king!

I second that, my God I can't believe they actually told you that David...:
...
Even more reason that I will boycott the tote and encourage all posters on the forum to do the same thing.

now if this is to be believed then racing is in serious trouble - When i venture into a tote I’m normally one of the younger punters at 43 years of age - SA life expectancy for males is around 49 so unless a huge amount of youngster start punting the customer base for racing will be dead in 7-10 years. Soccer and sport bets will have to save racing
