How typical of the thinking(sic)...........marketing is not about preaching to the converted.............if you already have the income from the R20 punter,a large part of your marketing strategy should be to BROADEN your customer base so that you INCREASE turnover.

Once a year they correctly spent huge money on a young achievers day and bring all these computer literate future leaders to the course, i think few youngesters got given a horse and are new owners in the game,,, what i dont understand is, why they miss out, or ignore, as good an opportunity as this after spending all the money,, to introduce these thousands of "computer generation kids" to formgrids,, there is no excuse that these young adults dont have or understand computers

David there are so many posts on this site but I gave the suggestion to put more computer points at the track to let the new "yuppies" play on line, but to be fair they would have been going via the online bookies and not the Tab, plus it was before the phones became mini computers.
It still remains very sad that your efforts are not recognised by the operators, a discussion we have had many times, we aint in with the in crowd.

Dave, bookmakers are legal,, they are on course ,, whats to stop punters from betting with them there,, punters bet where they prefer,, no one can control that,, but Phumelela cant stop growing the game and moving with the times and keeping up with technology because they are scared that punters will bet with the bookmaker and not the tote,,, growth in the industry is vital,, i have been told by upper management in Phumela that they wont support Formgrids in any way until i can guarantee them that NOT ONE of my users will play with bookmakers ??? when I ask them if they can guarantee that all computaform users only play on the tote all I get from them is blank stares

I am not criticising just pointing out the thinking ,, most interviews with racing people go like this,,, the person been interviewed is asked “how do you think we can attract people back to racing,,, the reply is “we need another Horse Chestnut kind of champion” ,, later on they are asked “ do you think we will see another horse as good as HC” to which the normal reply is, “horses like that come once in a lifetime”,,

Formgrids is a tool to promote and market racing by offering the user understanding of a complex game,, its there,, online and free,, they can use it,,, it helps boost turnovers,,, the lifeblood of the industry,,,Anton Marcus amongst others says he is addicted to it ,,,see on the testamonial page what Mike De Kock says about Formgrids,,, but Phumelela and the racing trust shun it even though the TT presenters always refer to it and everyone now talks about winners out of this and that formline,,, ,,, are the industry LEADERS blind or deaf ???,,,

Whoever said that should give back his salary as he's being paid to be stupid - It's like a beer company(that stocks the best beer in the world) being told that a chain of restaurants will not stock their product unless they can guarantee that nobody that drinks the beer will drive drunk . How on earth do these people sleep at night?

The Betexchange in Benoni hang up a Computaform for the punters to use and they are always busy -
