GROOMS RACE IN CAPE TOWN 2 WEEKS AGO
13 years 2 weeks ago
I dont know if this is a true story, but i have heard this from 2 racing trainers, and i am disgusted if its true. The story goes the grooms race 2 weeks ago there was a young white work rider name of Andrews riding a horse for Justin Snaith witch was the hot favorite i think 7/10,the horse won the race but in the interview it was a black groom that rode the winner, and the white work rider was put on the horse that ran 2nd,when i asked some1 why did work rider andrews did not ride the winner i was told that Mr John Freedman phoned the Snaiths and told them to change riders because it must be a black rider that must win,if this is true it is a disgrace that this is happening in racing to,please if any 1 knows if this is true let us know pls

Is it not the trainer and the owner (Mr J H Van Heerden) that normally makes the decision ?

he was carded to ride that horse,Freedman runs the school and he told the snaiths to change the rider, every 1 for them self in this game, who is freedman and why do that to the rider and take him off because he's a white kid come on dont every 1 deserve a chance that works with horses, and dream to ride in races, are we going the same way as the ANC in racing.

So who is to blame. Freedman for telling Snaith to make the change? Or Snaith for not telling him to piss off,as I would have done if I was a Trainer and someone other than the Owner told me,who must ride my Horse:X
