Thanks a lot. I had a medium bet on it, but only played a PA for 10 bucks, so i am walking away with a profit today. The racing looks tough for the rest of the day. Will wait for tomorrow. Cheers

Some thoughts from me that can be digested leisurely taking up the 40 minute intervals ::o

Firstly, 5 races are carded over the straight 1000 and 4 of these have big fields - could be a good idea to check the first race results for any possible draw bias before putting the final touches to those PA's.

R3: Palace Town drawn right on the inside - hard to say at this stage if this will be an advantage or a disadvantage - seems to have breathing problems, so not one to rely on imo; Brompton's Lad has had one fair run and one proor run over this trip - drawn on the outside and Striker rides so I'm including this in my PA with the moderate but consistent Sizzling Guy (8 places from 9 runs over this trip) and Ra, who holds both PT and BL easily on their last meeting.
R4: Very weak maiden, where Fort Benton looks to be the stable elect - drawn well and gets blinkers fitted - Fort Wood's usually don't mind the sand, so he could prove the right one; looks like a minefield bar FB - Srinigar drawn very wide, but has Striker riding, so must have a place chance even from that draw - use a pin if you don;t like those two
R5: Something amiss with Formation last time, but even in their 2nd last meeting seems held by Zebulon here, who was on turn no match for New York last time - imo New Yokk even better over the shorter trip and looks good value to me here - danger could be Emperor Augustus who should not meind the sand being by Kahal - but that maiden win does not really concvince me
R6: Calanish ideally suited to this trip and looks the right one again from Eastern Cobbler who is drawn badly and may now be better over a little further - Masai Warrior could surprise at the weights, but also looks better over further - for an upset consider the inconsistent Bouquet-Garni who has won well over this trip
R7: Delta Lioness won her maiden easily when trying the sand, now tries further and has a widish straw; must have a chance in an open race, where all of Hen Party, National Danzig, Think Again and Hlamba can feature as well
R8: Competitive fillies sprint, where the draw could have a say again - provided the going is fair on the outside, I think Howhighcanufly is the right one, stable companion Kinematic Countess provides good backup for the P6; and if earlier races show that the inside going is ok, consider Velvet Jar who likes this course and just needed her last run; both Solarium and Lightning Bird tries the sand, so could feature if they take to it
R9: Not an easy race to close; Rodeo Dandy has obvious claims; but not a lot between him and Goldstream at the weights, and Super Boy and Marius also rates chances on their last runs to Goldstream and both look real value for trifectas and quartets - Court Dress tries the sand so could feature - or not

Enjoy (tu)

Thanks once again for the time taken to give your thoughts Frodo (tu) Delighted to say that you have bolstered confidence on a number of my selections, which makes a pleasant change for me as usually you oppose and I always feel like its a nail in my selection coffin! Interested in the fact that you like New York, I backed it last time at 20s and was a little unfortunate to find one too good, I like to back the ones I do at long-ish odds next time out too but I am just not convinced today, especially at the much shorter price. Out of interest... and because of the price ;) did you give Kruger Gold any hope in the same race?
