Cannot believe what Phumelela have done. Nine races starting at 11.35am and ending at 5pm. 40 minute intervals between races. FFS it is not July day ! For a kak card like this 30 minutes is more than enough time. I will give it a miss.

Harris this is for the frogs, theyy take the 1st 4 races before their racing starts, then the remainder of the meeting is dumped for their own stuff

Remember guys that the track is so stuffed that it really needs an hour's work between races.............expect a jockey protest half-way through!

Why not alternate turf and sand races - more variety and enough time to prepare the sand? There were a few of these some time back - not sure why it was discontinued?
Also not sure if this 'preparation of the track' can go on indefinitely - cost must become an issue - does any one (Louis) know what the longer term plans are for the sand track? I was told by a jock that the rolling of the track does help, but that it is still far from ideal :S

The best bet for me today is Race 1 no 14 Sweet Destiny. Have a look at the form and the races it's contested. This will be a doddle for Sherman i'm sure. Good luck to all today.
