I phoned in for the commentary, I heard the race, I listened to the race, I heard Queally making room, I heard Excelebration giving him cheek, I heard Frankel make his move, I heard Frankel opening more, the commentary cut off, I dialled again, I listened again and again and again... Man dammit, I listened with my eyes............

Timeform have given Frankel provisional rating of 147 following his win in the Queen Anne Stakes, making him the highest-rated Flat horse in the firm's history.

If the mark is confirmed he will be two pounds ahead of Sea Bird and three clear of Brigadier Gerard and Tudor Minstrel.

David Johnson, Timeform's Flat Editor, said: "The facts are that Frankel's performance is likely to surpass anything witnessed in Timeform's 64-year history. To give some perspective on just how phenomenal this effort was, in provisionally rating Frankel 147 we still have Excelebration running more than a stone below his previous best (133).

"A point worth emphasising is the consistency with which Frankel has produced such performances, this is the fifth time he has produced a rating above 140."

Chief Correspondent Jamie Lynch added: "Frankel has now proved himself the ultimate racehorse by breaking new ground in terms of ratings, and the thrilling aspect is we are only two races into his defining season.

"It's not out of the question he could go higher still with different challenges ahead, including the tantalising prospect of meeting Camelot over a longer trip or targeting the Breeders' Cup."

FRANKEL and JACKSON - Both named after people, both get better and better, both have 7 letters in their name, both share the letter "K" worth 5 points in Scrabble.... I'm just feeling good :)

Seemingly Frankel covered the final 1000m faster than the Grade1 over 1000m later in the day..

Its fun to see the americans and the english have a go at each other on american boards. it is quite funny to read all the comments from either side.

the americans say that frankel has only beaten allowance horses (thats funny) and the europeans tell the americans that they would still be "racing buffalo's in a circle" if the euros didn't give them the thoroughbred breed

:D ..... is all I can say

I think I would back Frankel against any horse in the world over any distance between 1000m and 2400m. Unbelievable to watch. Saw the splits and BC must count herself lucky he is not running on Saturday in her race.

Have now watched the replay and interviews a few times and I rate it as the best run I have ever seen, second would be Secretariat?
