In this day and age........

Following on the story posted on the site about the killings in Knysna / George area...........i have been thinking

What happens if i get attacked in my home. How do i protect my family? I don't have a weapon to keep us safe.

So the question is......Should i own a gun in this day and age?

Yes you should,but if you shoot,whether you kill or not,they take the gun, lock you up, charge you [like a crminal]

and you get bailed, go home, their friends target you, you have no gun, you run [no gun,kept for evidence]

Peekay, on a serious note: I hope and pray it never happens to me. There is other ways. Secure your property with safety gates, spanish burglar bars, alarm system and if possible a dog or 2. Live security conscious, get your neighbours involved, don't use domestics or have garden services or garden boy, etc...do it yourself, it's keep me fit. 80% of burglaries where I stay is where your domestic gives out info. They know your movements and the interior of your house.

The powers that be must really be trying to punt this harness racing hey.....i saw a full page colour ad that says play the harness racing and win 95% of the time. They must really be making a moerse profit!

LOL....classic

You know PeeKay,I never did like Harness Racing
It's only recently that I started placing win bets on it,and saw a steady flow of favs.
It works for me,I don't win much but @ least I'm winning
English Jackpots almost always easier too!(tu)

I have NEVER placed a bet on harness racing. Perhaps i should give it a closer look, but personally i would rather then bet on sports

People like you paint a bad picture of our beautiful country. Why single out domestic workers and garden boys, they are not criminals. You sound like a racist.

Maybe 80% where he lives,and I don't know where that is,so he gets the benefit of doubt.
I am in the security and electronic access industry and can tell you that the areas most affected are those
where people have domestics,thats a fact. Gardeners are being done away with because it is safer to contract
garden services.

I don't see where racism comes in

In Britain if a robber attempts to break into your house you are supposed to just let him take what he wants otherwise it is against his human rights. There have been cases that the robber has successfully sued the home owner when injurying himself during the robbery, like falling off the patio. The law is an arse. People work hard for their morgages and posessions so why should those who want to steal just be allowed to do what they want. Mind you since Britain got rid of the usless Labour Party the law has changed that you can fark up the robber without any consequences.

Stats are there to be seen...the fact of the matter is that domestics and gardeners are largely to blame for home invasions, but once again everything seems to come back to racism :S
