who would ride for your life?

We are really lucky in south africa to have had such great jockeys who have shown their worth all over the world. In the country we have anton marcus, anthony delpech, pierre strydom, gavin lerena, robbie fradd, felix coetzee, bernard fayd herbe, abroad we have doug whyte, jeff lloyd, glyn schofield, barend vorster our jockeys have stood their ground all over the world.
If had to ask you, if your life was at stake, which jockey would you choose to ride for your life can be overseas or a local jockey. My local choice would be anton marcus, feel he often wins his races by outsmarting his competitors, an excellent judge of pace and very strong in a finish. Anton keeps a cool head when under pressure and knows how to time his runs to perfection, he would be my first pick to ride for my life amoungst the current local jockeys.
Amoungst the international jockeys my first pick would be ryan moore I think he is an excellent young jockey with suberb potential, will definately have a long illustrious career in horse racing will challenge all the english flat jockey records. He would ride for my life amoungst the international jockeys. Now the question i have for you clanners is who would you trust with your life?

Thought provoking question West...There is no doubt in my mind that I would go with Andrew Fortune, not only because of his undeniable talent but he has an added bonus of having the ability to overcoming any obstacle he is confronted with, whether it is a Drug addiction that was completely out of control or a weight problem that would have seen a lot of riders hand in their licenses, he overcame both these obstacles to win a Jockey Title riding 59KG's + and has been clean for over 5 years now,in a nutshell he is capable of doing anything he puts his mind to, no matter how far fetched or out of reach it may seem (76KG's to 58KG's in under 3 months his latest miracle) and if he knew someones life depended on it he would do what ever it took to win, and probably break my nerves by putting his hands down a furlong out

Titch, andrew has got great heart and I really admire all the obstacles he has had to overcome, he is a true champion and really wish you and him all the success in his comeback. Another jockey forgot to mention was weichong marwing, unbeatable on his day!

let me tell you some thing, the current jocks with one or two exception are use less. if i look at jockeys from past and you put them all on the exact same horse ability, you in a line at the 200 and you ask who will ride my horse home and all jockeys ride for there life and yours there will only be one man and the rest will die......that man is the strongest jock in the finish you will ever see and his name is rhys van wyk, rest in peace the rest
