louis....i am not having a go at u ...but surely plan b should have been executed today...even if it was gonna be a loss to phumelela...in order to hold the meeting..i may be talking over my head...but it looks like plan b was never an option.
if i am going to jhb from dbn for a 3 pm meeting i need to get the bus at 5 am ...if by 5.30 am ,the bus has not arrived...another company should have been asked...i am sure on a monday morning...plenty other options would have been available...i mean it cant be more than 30 odd people who were supposed to board that bus...this is utter amatuerism...in the running of a major company...

Sooner or later (probably later) stakeholders in the racing industry will have to admit the current racing administrators are just unable to do the job properly. Today is just another symptom of the inherent problem.

Why not sell Kimberley use the money to relocate those trainers to Randjies forntien, develop Randjiesfontein and race there on a Monday for the same stakes as for KImberley or pay those traneirs to bring their horses here.
bang problem solved.:S

justin v, at 16g per trip P would spend about 600g per year on bus costs. I've also said P - buy your own bus, & hire part time / reliable , retired drivers.
I've been told the INSURANCE ( vehicle & passengers ) is prohibitive and that's whats causing the problem........... don't know how true this is.

There must be some good news .............lets wait for Titch to tell us what it is..........lol
I look forward to the next statement by Riaan Du Plessis blaming everything except their own management for racing's demise.
Perhaps somebody needs to teach these clowns that outsourcing does not equal total abdication of responsibility (as in the inefficient tab-online being entirely the fault of the service provider)
I would suggest that the entire "P" board is guilty of failing in it's fiduciary duty,in fact is probably closer to total dereliction of duty.
(BTW the rate to insure a bus is less than half the rate to insure the average family car and the passenger liability is not exhorbitant unless it is a normal fare paying passenger service.......they need new insurance brokers perhaps) (PS> perhaps the insurances, are presently handled by family.)
