Emerald excitement !!!

Hi Clan

I just had to share my excitement for Saturday's Emerald Cup. There are so many firsts for me - 1) first time we are competing @ the Vaal and on the sand 2) first time as an owner I am taking part in a showcased event like this(imagine the Dbn July guys!!!) 3) first time Anton Marcus aka "superman"rides a horse I own part off (what a priviledge for me, imagine how Mr Jooste must feel to experience this almost every weekend) I hope to meet him in person one day, what a legend.

We most certainly aren't drawn well, but we have a very good training team, jockey and horse, which I believe can overcome that, so fingers crossed come Saturday, there will only be one horse I'll be shouting home -

i think you have the big job to win this race even with anton on top. to come to this race on the sand debut is very tough for your horse, many horse struggle with sand for the first time, some never like the sand it is not like the training track your horse work on. you are welcome but as i say i think it very hard for you, may the best horse win

All the best ............if he happens to love the surface and repeats the run when beating Variety Club he is a very strong contender(sh!t in,in fact) ............If you don't run you will never know so either way you have a excitingly nervous day............enjoy!

Windrush has produced 7 individual winners(one who has won twice) in 112 starts in the last 18 months.Thats less than LOVING THE SAND @ around 7%.
