Steve Naude the investigating officer in Cape Town has been contacted. I will be sending him a detailed email tomorrow. With this race taking place today I decided to make this post to stop any foul play today. The more views and the more posts will only highlight this cancer in racing and can only be good for it's future.

the fact that they are aware of the betting move is the truth as they are aware of the movement in the 3rd...but that is were the credibility runs out...

A bookmaker found it "highly suspicious" that a punter wanted to back the 2nd favorite in a race??? are you serious??? they may have found it disheartening that he wasnt prepared to take the ridiculous price they offered about the fav but how can you think let alone state that they would find it highly suspicious...
JM you are starting to sound more and more like a clown....

Agra, your comment "I talk and meet with jockeys and trainers all the time. Whats the problem.
In Hong Kong, where regulation is a reality, you would ,if known to be a punter, and the jocks and the trainers would all be under scrutiny and quite possibly warned off..................fact!

Agreed Rob but that is somewhat of a dragonian rule but how would they treat a jockey who is having supper in a public restaurant with an owner he rides for??

To be honest Johan, unless you can offer evidence that something is amiss then I don't think you should post, write your letter to the stipes if you have the evidence but your comments here can only be viewed at best as speculation based on the fact they were seen together. If there is no rule preventing them from talking then there is no issue based on what you have reveled here. Maybe there should be a "rule" as Rob F infers. If the jock was on Sunley Simola and it was backed in this way it would be a little easier to say there might be a problem but you would still need to post evidence here to give it credence. If you are right and connections of both horses are now too scared to win then hopefully an idiot selection can pop up and beat them both! (
And I still say the betting in R3 looks stranger!

allowing the JC to dictate who you choose as your friends outside of racing has to be looked at as dragconian.
