Gents . There used to be a site that compares prices from various bookies.
Does anyone have the link.

I am going to have a wild guess:
I have questioned previously whether using one central point to set the prices isn't "price fixing and is it legal?
With competition being the flavour of the moment could it be a factor?
I'm putting 2 and 2 together and maybe coming up with 9...........lol...could be pure coincidence.
Just seems very sudden to have been planned long-term.

Could well be that Bush...................either way the pricing /deductions etc needs a good look by the authorities

Well due to everyone having a stab in the dark, here is my take:
They like most others need sponsors to operate and to cover the overheads, I asked for a banner swap and they prefered a sponsor..
My understanding of the service they provided was to gather odds from certain bookmakers and take the average odds and disseminate these odds as a type of official opening betting, it would appear theses bookies are no longer offering this service? This would make their service null and void?
In addition if we consider that Sportingbet, Hollywood etc, have jumped the gun and do early betting this possibly also had a negative impact?
So in future we may just get various bookies pricing up and opening competition?
Just my view during JWB hour.

MMMM Rob you make a good point . Through my ignorance i did not think of our current situation as price fixing .
When davetheflower posts a selection or when i read articles on racing post , prices quoted are accompanied by the firms which offer those prices .The Uk firms obviously run with independent betting .
Can't wait to see how our bookies are going to respond to this !

The bookmakers by law (or common decency) should provide a service whereby punters can not only see the betting, but the claims.
This industry is a joke. I don't want to be a pessimist, but the customer service gets worse and worse.
