i know we have been down this road before...but where is the benefit to the punter who is taking this chance....rather back it singally..because the second leg shouldn't shorten by more than 30% ANYWAY...and what if it just wins ,but not impressively...then u have the chance to reaccess your bets ,but if u took the double u r stuck with the bet....i think its a no win situation for the punter, and a win-win situation for the bookie

The problem is there are not many unexposed horses running in the features....
Tell that to Shrek who has 1325/1 a place on Zambucca in the summer cup though

Is the deduction taken off prior to the bet being struck or only on payout?

I didn't give it any thought until this post but I see from my ticket no same horse deduction was taken off and my ticket says 26500/20.

Not sure shrek, the poster above is probably meant as more of an announcement and not a promotion...

If the same horse is 2/1 toady and 10/1 for the summer cup..full accumalted odds would be 32/1...less 33% would make my double around 20/1...
rather i put 200/100 on today's horse...and 2100/300 the second leg after the first leg has won(if i want to)...and still be ahead

i guess it also depends on the odds of horses...the bigger priced horse do tend to shorten drastically

I only do it on big priced horses like with Zambucca it was 200/1 and is now generally 33/1.
