I have said it before and I will say it again, bookmakers should be banned and all bets should be placed into a pool system.
There just is not enough money coming back to the operators to fund the sport. Yes we can all cry about the odds on the tote etc but unless we have dramatic stakes increases I cannot see the sport surviving with any prosperity in the long run.

unless the bookies grab only the "idiots", it would be much fairer, if all goes to the tote. for the sport and us

saldiani: agree with you.
on principle (despite some reservations & attitude of operator, cannot kill the owners!), will support those who give us the opportunity to bet so that they can grow!

Flash,I like to stake ew patents or ew lucky 15s.In reality they are mug bets. But with the bonuses you get on the Lucky 15 in UK,which is treble the odds
on one winner I find it a no lose bet most days.I like to take a early price to calculate potential winnings.I stake maybe £200 on my multis,no more.
I have run out of plans,I can stake the bet at the shops but cannot take the prices,I can take the prices on the Internet but am only allowed tiny stakes.
If you have a better idea I'm all ears
