IS IT TIME TO GIVE UP PUNTING.
12 years 9 months ago
I'm totally disgusted with the consistent treatment I'm getting of bookmakers regarding betting on horse racing.
I have tried to back Greystoke Chapel in the last race at Turfontein.
Firstly I went onto Williamhill.com and tried to place £25 ew at 8/1,it was sent to a trader and I was offered £3-50 ew.
Disgusted I declined, then I went onto Skybet.com with the same bet and was offered £3-17 ew..
I haven't used Skybet fo ages and the line about your account being reviewed is boll@cks.
I then tried Ladbrokes and was offered a paltry £5-00 ew.
Bet 365 was £2-75 ew at 7/1.
The worst was Sportingbet who offered me £1-00 ew at the 10/1 it was at the time.
Now that is 4 big Internet bookmakers, who trade in thousands every minute.
You are pathetic
I would like a reply from any bookie who I have named..
There is no point me trying to punt SA racing, which I'm a big fan of.
Would like your views

I would like some dialogue with the Sportingbet guy that uses this site to gauge the market, can anyone give me he's username
so I can see and share there reasons. They do advertise on here, why don't they state in their banner that winning is frowned on

I have been thinking about this lately... these posts rightly slating the bookies... is it not possible to have them in a separate "forum" (other things as well like football, other sports, politics etc)... a bit like the competitions page?
Certainly with the bookies, continuous individual threads like these will get nowhere, as will everything else probably, but if you have a section devoted to whose bad that clanners can simply add to and give them the publicity they deserve, word of mouth will spread much quicker and maybe some bookies in time will be less pathetic about allowing people to win
