I did have R500 on a 50/1 shot. Does that count even though the bet was wagered at the bookies -D

Because it does not happen too often, every race there are far more horses paying less on the Tote than with the Bookies

Would like to know from the TAB how the commingling works, with the exchange rate of .08 p to the rand surely there is NO value for local punters if they compete with UK counterparts whose 1 pound is R13.:S

I sent an email to Teletrack about these horses that are paying R1-00 a place, this is the idiotic reply I received.

Can you please put this on ABC [I don't know how to] to show the guys what kind of fools we are dealing with here.

I sent them a real cracker in response to this, but so far I have not received a reply.

Comment: Dear Sir, Can You please explain to me whether or not a Horse which is paying R1-00 for a place, becomes a Non Runner if it fails to run a place? It is a ridiculous scenario when any Horse is Paying this amount, as it cannot constitute a bet. Last week at one meeting there were Four Horses that paid R1-00 a place, so the Punter has no chance of striking a winning bet, which should then be refunded to him/ her when the Horse has run downfield. We are forever being. told by Teletrack that the Tote is great value, this is clearly false advertising, as most Horses which are anything from Even money to 2/1 are more often than not at Odds On on the Tote.

Wonderful response Abigail, do Phumelela give a sh!t about the punter? From the response clearly not. :X
