Interesting statistic.::o
12 years 4 months ago
For all those out there that have a go at GC and how badly run it is. I have just had breakfast with a GC director(not Neil, Pirates!) and interestingly of the 1st 10 trainers to apply for the new boxes being built here at Summerveld to accommodate the extra horses to be stabled here once Clairwood has gone, 6 are from Cape Town,2 from Jhb and the other 2 are here at Summerveld but want to move into the new boxes! Top guys from both centres.:S

craig you must remove chips from both shoulders pal in order to be balanced..your continued call for backup on this forum when you in a corner is laughable..i really couldnt care as a punter if the horse is bred in zim has kenyan owners ridden by a peruvian jockey and trained by a kimberly chap....natal is easy pickings thats why they coming just like you would open a business here if you saw the earnings potential however they dont have rules in place to ban businesses opening like you have on visiting yards

craig what do gold circle do suddenly that make it so attractive? for years the cape and transvaal trainers go to natal for the season. what is different is now some trainers stay longer than the season with generally there weaker horse to earn money that they will struggle to do in cape/gauteng season. now natal trainer think this is unfair. lift your game and play with the big boys or even better raid joburg and cape and take some of their money as well. you see what love struck do on saturday. may be the problem is too many shit trainer in your part of the world who think they have the right to race shit horses and earn living? is 2013 not 1963 pirates is right when he criticise your policy of no allow trainers to have certain horse. this kzn look more and more to me you must be part of old boys club

Funny thing is, is that if those top stables do completely relocate to GC country, it will be like racing themselves at home anyway!

I enjoy raiding horses so I think provincialism is archaic in thinking - The "us and them" philosophy is the cause of wars and unpleasantness worldwide. I remember the days why Rivalland, Drier, Payne, Brown etc would raid and that made for interesting Racing. Protectionism helps naught
