@BP:
With due respects, ABC has done a lot in promoting mutual understanding and respect.
There were some who had extremely horrid views; in time, they morphed into a mansuetude to be admired.
Religion I agree with; however, politics is ingrained in each and every one of us, whether we like / admit it or not.
We migrated bloodlessly from an abhorred system / regime into what today gives us our freedom of speech to openly criticise the President and all his men for corruption, bribery, excesses, etc.
Such criticism in the old days would have landed one not behind bars.... but even had you dropped off aeroplanes!
We are being told things that we never heard about; the suffering, discrimination, abuse, family members disappearing, confinement (Indians couldn't move from one Province to another without a 'permit'. Today, our black neighbours flood into our country without permit or passport!).
As much as there were incidents that made us cry, extremely angry, bitter.....there were others that promoted remorse, bonds and respect across the colour line.
Nonetheless, we remain a divided and angry nation; until we learn, tolerate (how can we be the judge of how tolerant our daily actions are?) and respect without pre-conditions....... posterity is f...kd!
I hope I am wrong!
I am myself past this hate and 'apartheid' burden thing; help us along and hold our hand! There's still a lot of goodwill which can not only be reinforced but expanded.
Your tipping is fabulous; that should make you an equally fabulous character!
Give us the thumbs.... at least we all try!

@BP:
I am not flaying a dead horse but consider the following:
As blacks (Indians, Coloureds and Africans) we could not enter the gold Ring.; Indians and Coloureds mostly in the Silver ring and Africans in the Copper ring!). I sat with Mr Maponya at Turffontein in the Silver ring on the concrete stand years back pre-1994!
Honestly, would you accept such a situation (in horseracing) if that were the case today?
My friend FH is a shade darker than myself; imagine my being in the Godl ring and him in the Silver ring 'cos we didn't carry our ID's / Dompaas and were bundled in terms of looks / complexion?
What you say FH (our League of Nations family and friends would be sent in different directions! And you were supposed to be paying for the meals and drinks! Lol!)?

@Scotia:
And they have an image of the suspect!
Back to the days of the French Berlusconi brothers who investigated stock thefts in South Africa.
Tall..yes! Dark....yes! Male...yes! Limp on left leg ... yes!
Send out a search party and 'arrest' the first tall, limping black male..... and make an example of him in public!
Seems that this perpetrator is well ahead of the FBI/CIA/investigators...... sadly and good news for conspiracy theorists!

(Reuters) - A fiery explosion tore through a fertilizer plant and leveled dozens of homes in a small Texas town late on Wednesday, killing as many as 15 people, injuring more than 160 others and spewing toxic fumes that forced the evacuation of half the community, authorities said.

@dtf:
there's been a shoot-out. One suspect arrested; dies in hospital under police care; how?
2nd suspect on the run.
Sounds all very weird; if the 2nd is killed, just speculation & for conspiracy theorists.... open day!
