He did and it was my 1styear training at the Vaal. Distinctly flew to Durban on the morning of the race and I saw him loading and he looked so gr8 I had my bundle on him. I think I was more devastated than Ormonde!! He is a fantastic trainer and one of the few with the guts to stand up and be counted.

Yep he did, was most unlucky not to have won as he was Gatecrashed by Puller onto the outside rail. I don't think MR.Brown had another July winner again, this was one he lost in the boardroom.:

Sometimes you can't get it rite all the time even if you're a living legend like Mr.Ormonde Ferraris!!!
Way back in 1994 he trained a horse called SIZZLING SUN and this horse won the Administrator's Cup, the richest race in the country at the time
However the horse had been bought by Michel Nairac for a Mauritian buyer for R70,000-- prior to the race and not all the connections were overjoyed as Mr. Robin Scott and Mr. George Rowles had sold their shares and thus missed out on their share of the first stake of about R78O,OOO---.
