I know times of races is not a reliable but here is a interesting find:
All over the same course and distance: greyville at 1600.
Beach beauty at 3: 94.64
Vercengetorix at 3: 94.65
Variety club at 3: 94.23
Jackson at 3: 94.64
Big City Life at 3: 98.42
Imbongi at 3: 96.01
The one big difference through this whole lot, vercengetorix did at only his 3rd time seeing the track... mr De Kock knows his ability and wouldnt accept him into the July for the fun of it... id love to see their 400-finish speeds...
I think definately worth a nibble and talk its getting...

I'm not saying V can't win, but as you say times can be misleading, depends on the going, the condition of the track, the pace, etc. So I'll reserve judgement

Recent results support that and I will make that the first point of call this year

...like i said several times before you dont have a clue...theres no way anybody in racing can make that mistake...they different crops...different courses...different distances...only common things are both races are G1 and named after newspapers (even though one is a daily and the other a weekly)...please change your name

interesting but...the tracks runs much faster in July than it will in May...ground becomes harder due to winter months without rain...remember a few years back they painted the grass on July day
