What are the ages of the last 4 July winners? And how many of the first 4 were three-year-olds?

This is from another thread that i contributed to -

the last 4 winners of the July have been three-year-olds. In 2010 the first 5 were three. The first three in 2009. In 2011 three on the first 4 including Igugu and in 2012 two of the first 4. Obviously many of the older better horses are leaving SA and the improving three-year-old is the horse to be with.

Tis appropriate to call them 3 year olds in the 1st week of July as they will only become 4yr olds when the new season comes and that's a whole month away to 1st August.???:B)(:P)

until we have sectional timing introduced in this country which will never happen it is impossible to start comparing times of races ...even on the same day...i recall igugu running much slower times in the lead up races to the july than her male counterparts on the same day and she still won plus a few times the july consolation has been quicker than the july itself.....i also dont trust the times that come from the courses either...to put it mildly we need to up our game to be a 1st world racing country in this regard

All the times were fast last Saturday probably due to the strong tailwind down the straight.

For me the 3 year olds this year are muddling. I am waiting until after the Daily News for a bet when hopefully the picture will be a little clearer. For me the value at present is Hill Fifty Four at 28,57/1 a win 6,57/1 a place.

I understand that(I do like this horse) but for me I'll be looking at the Final Field and then looking at the youngsters first as I cannot believe that the high amount of 3yr old earners in this race over the last 4 years is a fluke.

Mr H, I always like 3 year olds in the July and don't every remember backing a winner in the July that was not a 3 year old. My main bet will be on a 3 year old, I am just not sure yet between Yorker, Vercingetorix or if COTT get supplemented.
