There are quite a lot of them. Many of which used to be punting stables until they stuck themselves out. Lol.

Oscar you had 2 in the race was nothing said about them i had 1 in the first that i gave back to the stable as i was tired of having fun with the horse :S

As an owner you should be venting your thoughts to your trainer , i dont think that making a scene on ABC about things that are out of anyones control (RACE RESULTS) . Im sure everyone who is involved in a horse or has been involved with a horse has been made to look funny by that horse. The main thing to remember is that its not an investment at all but a LUXURY.

Are you for real a LUXURY , so in other words we as owners must not expect to be kept in the loop at all times because it is a LUXURY><

Stiff/congrats Oscar, its the same old "THING" in racing. Everyone with R10 can be a punter but not everyone can be an owner ! You as an owner carry all the capital risk, costs etc and are normally the last to hear about your horses chances. I have been through this many a time over the years and have eventually resigned myself to the fact that you take the win no matter what the betting moves. Punters have amazing memories and once your horse has been labled by a betting move,its out there for all to know/follow ! I must however admit I am very happy with my trainer now as he has an "open policy" ( for lack of a better word ) when it comes to all his horses chances and is shared with all his owners. I am in no ways knocking punters in saying this as I know they are a very big part of racing and I am also one. (small punter by choice) One has to however as an owner find what works for you ( punting/pleasure of owning a horse) and the balance one desires. There are many trainers out there who can offer you that choice (punting/pleasure). All the best in your quest and again congrats with your win !!

With technology so simple these days sending an SMS to an owner the day before (and race day) should be standard.
