They will because in the past we have had the best team team going into the tournaments and always feel at a hurdle we shouldn't have (NZ normally that hurdle). Sri Lanka are anything but chokers they always finish above where they should. I'm this tournament they were the 7th favorite side so losing in the semi's is above where they were expected to finish. This SA side without Smith, Kallis and pretty much Morkel and Steyn were far from one of the best sides and therefore don't feel choked here but were simply not good enough.

Agreed Shrek, they weren't good enough. Where do they stand in the ICC log, about 4th I think? And they played about to that level, getting into the final 4 and then folding.
And yeah, yup and ya, if I get a reaction I'll bear with it! I hate schoolground bullies that run after some poor kid yapping "Choker, choker!" Maybe because I suffered from the breed when I was little. Allergic now.
As for India winning, Shrek, you don't actually say if you (dis)agree. Do you think England will beat Dhoni's bunch? I doubt it but I have my lucky cap (the one I wore when Igugu won the July) ready to hand, and will eat it, raw and without mustard, if they do.

Mav, I am with you on India and believe they have the most solid and well rounded one day side at the moment and agree and hope they give England a hiding.
I think it is a great credit to Indian cricket to have replaced the likes of Sehwag, Gambhir, Tendulkar, Dravid and Yuvi with quality younsters that can hold there own. Everyone wondered what would happen to Indian cricket when these guys retired well Dharwan, Scharma, Kohli, Raina and Kartick happened.

I've just been checking up on date and time of the CL final, and there was also a weather forecast alongside. Credit was given like so: "Weather powered by weather.com"
Did I miss something? Has God been dethroned/the natural climatic forces been bought out (pick one)?
Ahhh, the beauties of advertispeak.

Whoever wins the toss wins the match as bowling first is the thing to do

Not great odds to lift the trophy, each team loses 5/100 for taking out the draw (imagine tie is what is meant as you don't get draws in ODI's).

England must be the favourites as they have won the toss and are bowling first.

True Chicken, If Anderson can put India under pressure with swing and take a quick few, England may win for the first time in 5 attempts, but if India can see him off........anything is possible. It's all about that first 10 overs.
