I think Muhtiman has posted once that these were not the normal 'steel' shoes that the Zackey stable uses - more sort of a 'specially designed' steel shoe - anyway the yard has seldom used allumites until about Sep last year - then more af their runners started racing with ally's - not sure what brought about the chance, or even if they now use the 'normal' steel shoes :S

Does not look good - it hasn't been that cold yet and the track does not look great (Smooth Criminal was pulled up 200 out) - not sure how it's going to look once the frost arrives :S
