Well, thanks for the compliment (I think :) ) BH but I only do them now for the sand. I did occasionally spurt some stuff on turf but found it almost impossible. With sand I ignore turf runs and therefore 99% of the time you are dealing solely with one course and the form from there plus guessing which newcomers will act on the surface etc. There is therefore a certain logic behind it, though they try to prove me wrong all the time! lol they never report sand "going" so you have to assume from the start it is all the same, which is of course wrong but no alternative really.

With turf you have to take into account going etc and most importantly, course suitability and, especially with so many "raiders" these days it makes it impossible, trying to relate form in Kenilworth over 1200 to the Greyville 1200 from the 3 draw for example... just 2 completely different events.

@ Ben Hur
Tried to help mate, I could not narrow it down too much for a winner but will not leave these out

Race 8 # 1 Blaze the Trail / 7 Grey Olive / 3 Caribbean Bay / 15 Eminence Day / 4 Badger friendly
Race 9 : #14 Ritz Cocktail / #2 Cula / #5 Nick Jagger / Picador

R5 # 6 Act Fast the best banker but value to add #3 Bay Route @ #1 Maliyakhe perhaps
Race 7 could take a chance with only #4 Misty Morn #8 Dame Victoria # 2 Nanki Poo

Regards,

Loopy

I wont have much time tomorrow so posting my very humble views early.

Tough card in my opinion, but I believe Cherborg is ready for another win. Can beat Act Fast. Dangers are Hammie's Dynasty (on the penultimate run to Beach Club) and Maliyakhe. Bay route could also make the QT

Miss D for the clan, but i believe Nonki Poo is fit and well aqnd the drop in class will only benefit her. Jock my be a concern, but I am prepared to say he can ride for tomorrow only. Hope he proves me right

Restraint of trade is a horse that has not been disgraced in last 3 starts. Chippy is only carded for the one ride. Ritz Cocktail must be the obvious choice but I will have E/W on RoT.

Earlier on it is a real gamble, but if Greys Inn Control is not having a prep run, it should be a banker

Have fun everyone. Good luck to the clan with Miss D and all the others with runners. This includes Craig who has been a stalwart on the site in the past
